Hands-on. Unique. Fully immersive. Incredibly delicious.
Service Description
Rib Camp is a 6-hour class taught by world BBQ champion Brian and Ann Neale of Smoke Freaks BBQ. With only 6 "campers" per class, the Rib Camp experience is small by design, geared toward maximum learning, cooking, eating and fun. At Rib Camp, you will: - Start the day with Ms. Freak's championship breakfast - Learn how to select the best ribs - Trim and prepare your own rack of ribs - Develop your own unique flavor profile - Cook a rack of "competition style" ribs from start to finish on a Hunsaker Drum Smoker. - Compare "backyard style" ribs off a pellet grill to "competition style" ribs - Sample and judge 8 different rib profiles, including 2 Smoke Freaks' championship recipes - Help choose the day's Rib Camp Grand Champion - Take home a comprehensive booklet of recipes and techniques - Take home a BBQ goodie bag of rubs/sauces, discounts and more Rib Camp is appropriate for BBQ lovers of all skill levels ages 18 and up. Younger campers require a parent or guardian. As a hands-on BBQ experience, you will be working with sharp knives and hot fire. While not inherently dangerous, a liability waiver is required at the time of class if you wish to participate in hands-on trimming and cooking activities.
